The monochromator-based optics allow wavelength selection from 200 to 999 nanometers in as little as 1 nanometer increments. There’s no need to purchase filters in order to perform a variety of applications including nucleic acid quantification, protein quantification, ELISA, and cellular and microbial growth assays.
The intuitive touch screen interface promotes single and multi-user functionality: Choose from pre-defined protocols or easily create custom programs, including single and dual wavelength, end point and kinetic measurements Spectral scan mode provides a convenient, quick scan of all defined samples – the spectral curves are displayed immediately after measurement.
Epoch 2 features BioTek’s 4-zone natural convection incubation: temperature control up to 65 degrees C, with minimal variation across the plate – an ideal environment for microbial growth and other temperature-sensitive assays.
Temperature controlled kinetics can be impacted by excessive condensation that causes light scatter and inaccurate absorbance measurements. The condensation control feature in Epoch 2 prevents buildup and ensures accurate results.
Epoch 2 is compatible with a variety of low to high density microplates and an optional cuvette port provides quick 1 cm measurements.
Micro-volume direct DNA, RNA and protein quantification is fast and easy with the Take3 Micro-Volume plates. Measure up to forty-eight, 2 µL samples, no additional instrumentation required!
The three available shaking profiles are each suitable for particular applications and can help ensure uniform results across the plate.
When the plate read is complete, data is immediately displayed – and can be simply output to a printer or USB flash drive for further analysis in Gen5 software.
